A Dream Decades
in the Making
The Dream Begins — India
Childhood friends Anuradha Mullapudi, Shabana Siraj, Meena, Lavanya, Hema, and Prasanna dreamed of one day starting a business to help the underprivileged. The seed was planted, even if the timing wasn't right.
New Beginnings — Bay Area, 2000
Anu and Shabana moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. Life got busy with new roots in a new country — but the dream never disappeared.
Asha for Education — 2013
The best thing happened: Anu and Shabana joined Asha for Education, East Bay Chapter — raising funds to educate underprivileged children, running marathons, and discovering the power of community-driven change.
The Circle Grows
Through Asha, they found their people. Anisha Mehra, Mani Kanchi, and Anjie Bhasin joined the circle — all sharing the same fire to serve women and community. The board was born.

What started as a childhood dream in India is now a California nonprofit. Decades later, these women are finally building what they always imagined — together.
